It has a modular interface so it allows the removal and addition of any element. It also includes unique SSL support, database and email management, domains and DNS management, and a reliable firewall.

2.    Sentora

Sentora is the successor to the popular software Zpanel. In fact, the latter’s team members helped develop it. IT can work on many Linux servers and was released under the GPLv3. It is developed in PHP and utilizes open source software packages.

It can host multiple sites on a single server, customize control panels, and allows client login for web hosting. It also offers reseller accounts which allows clients to resell hosting.

3.    ISPConfig

ISPConfig is pretty popular. It is available in 22 languages and has a web interface. It can be installed on a Linux based OS like Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora, Debian, OpenSuSE, etc. It supports Apache, Nginx, and MySQL. It can manage single and multiple servers as well as websites, email account, FTP users, and Shell users.

For web hosting open source programs may not get better than ISPConfig. This is not only a safe choice, but an incredibly smart one.

4.    Vesta

VestaCP is very easy to install. It has a one-touch app installer called Softaculous and enables users to install more than 400 apps like Joomla and WordPress. There is a firewall included and Vesta supports Nginx, Apache, PHP-FM, and PHP as web servers. Also included are monitoring tools like Monit, Webalizer, and AWStats.

VestaCP can be installed on Linux based operating systems like Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, and Debian. The installation requires 512 MB RAMB and 20GB of storage.

5.    CentOS Web Panel

CentOS Web Panel was designed to manage virtual private servers and supports Linux OS like CentOS/RHEL 6.x. Though easy to install, you can’t uninstall it once it’s on a server without a resintall of the server itself. So better to do it on a fresh server.

CentOS Web Panel has a built-in firewall which is able to lock out a whole file system for increased security. It just requires basic specs like a 32-bit server, 512 MB of RAM/64-bit server and 1024 MB of RAM. Whichever one you decide on; you’ll need 10 GB of hard disk storage for the install.

It allows backups, supports Apache web server and varnish cache server, and include Nginx reverse proxy.

Using any of these 5 choices for a web hosting platform, you will get great speeds, secure hosting, and great features.
