Tech Impact Launches Non-Profit Information Security Division

The development of this team was in response to the rising levels of attacks on non-profit organizations because of the common beliefs that non-profit organizations do not have enough capital to spend on security and use old, outdated technology which is simpler to hack as compared to the security measures placed in firms operation for profit.

They are thought to be more susceptible to phishing scams and other attacks of the sort.

Additionally, many non-profits carry sensitive personal data which are of lucrative value in both the black market and to government attackers alike, such as medical data, or bank details and financial activities.

The majority of the security products available to nonprofits are one-size-fits-all solutions, which are often prohibitively expensive and address advanced threats that just don’t apply to most nonprofits while ignoring the basic threats that actually pose the greatest risk to small and mid-size organizations

– Jordan McCarthy, Infrastructure and Security Lead at Tech Impact.

The Nonprofit Information Security Division aims to provide many security services such as protection against phishing, data loss, unauthorized intrusions, and many other such attacks including Denial of Services attacks.

Their Services include security assessments, cloud infrastructure and compliance strategy, authentication, cloud management and implementation, identity management and implementation, and security advisory services among the offer security measures.

The Security Advisor service is focused on creating adaptive security measures for new, emerging, and evolving threats to security in the modern days. It works by collecting survey data, recognizing patterns, and creating a suitable defense mechanism against the attack.

This specific service includes a security assessment review including penetration testing, patch and firmware verification, phishing tests, web privacy, and compliance survey. The service also includes consulting sessions which focus on budgeting, strategy, classification of threats, and procedure reviews.

Furthermore, they also have on-demand services which are meant for immediate responses to threats, as well as engagement with auditors.

All of these roles are being offered solely for the security advisory services. The other services have countless other roles.

Born of the rising threat against non-profit organizations today, the Tech Impact Information Security Divison seeks to revolutionize the way non-profits run security with the aid of their tireless security measures and countless aids in between.

Their aim is to make sure the non-profit organizations remain safe in the face of modern emerging threats and stay secure in the future.
